GlamourMom-Nursing Clothing for Every Woman

Submitted by Victoria Arya on July 3, 2009 – 5:48 am17 Comments

I had exactly 2 nursing tanks with Ellie and Eve…let’s just say that they were cheap and leave it at that.  So, this time around I am already on the lookout for comfortable, stylish and cute nursing gear.  So, when I was contacted by GlamourMom to do a  review of one of their nursing tanks I said ok…it’s never to early to get a jump on things.  So, after checking out their selection, I choose the GlamourMom Nursing Tank with lace trim since it seemed like it wouldglamourmom be long enough for me to wear even with my ever expanding belly.

The tank itself is made out of a very comfortable fabric which isn’t scratchy or irritating to my rather sensative skin.  The second thing that I noticed is the fact that it is a heavy duty fabric…not flimsy, which I really like because I like my shirts to hold in the jiggly bits LOL.  The built in bra itself is quite comfortable and the hooks that allow you to open the chest flaps are easily undone with one hand; a good thing when you are dealing with a fussy and hungry baby.  Now, one thing I did notice was that the elastric part of the built in bra was a bit tight and uncomfortable since it hit my belly when I stat down.  But, since this is a nursing tank and not a pregnancy shirt that was too be expected; the shirt isn’t designed for a pregnant belly.

So, overall what do I think of GlamourMom?  I really like the shirts?  They are well made, practical, comfortable and they look cute as well.  I also really like the fact that GlamourMom offers a variety of styles to choose from, you are no longer stuck with one style and a few boring colors.  I also really like the fact that they make cute nursing PJs.

I’m expecting baby #2 in two weeks and definitely want to try one of these! I didn’t have any nursing tanks with my son because he was a Feb baby, but I think any of these will come in SO handy for July.

  • Joanna Price says:

These look great- they are spendy, but with as much as you use them it’s probably a good investment! Thanks for the review!

  • Bella says:

So it has a built in bra as well? Awesome!

  • Kim says:

I have a tank from them and LOVE IT!

  • Anne Taylor says:

I wish these tops had been around when I was nursing my kids! I would have for sure, used them!

Now that I have children who are having children I’m sure they would love one of these products!

    Thanks

Wish this stuff was invented when I was nursing 30 years ago! My daughter and DIL are now going through this stage in life and would love these! They are stylish and so practicle and fit in with today’s layered look so well. Great color choices too.

I will definintly have to invest in one of these next time I am pregnant. I didnt have ANY nursing shirts and it was a real pain trying to breastfeed in public.

I really like this company! Thanks for turning me on to it. Even though Hailey is 8 months old already I don’t forsee her weaning from nursing with me anytime soon, she still prefers it to baby food, so these shirts are still worth the small investment to me.

  • Colleen says:

Thank you for the review. I also only have 2 nursing tanks, and I have worn then out the last 10 months I have been wearing them. I am excite dto know that there is another company around that I can check out when baby number 2 comees along, because I know these 2 tanks I already have, have seen better days.
I hope I win your giveaway.

I’m nursing my eighth child and have never bought myself a nursing shirt. I probably should get one of these!

I’m glad to hear it’s easy to open the flaps with one hand. Several nursing bras I’ve tried are difficult to open and/or close- you’d think that would be a major consideration when designing these things!

  • Corrie Kolbe says:

This are SUCH a great invention! I bought 2 with DD, from Target, I think, but GlamourMom’s are SO much more cute!

  • What a great idea. Society makes it so hard for mothers to feel comfortable breastfeeding and this is a great way to make things easier for them!

  • Calah says:

Your right, you feel like your doing something wrong if you have to feed your baby in public. Its because of perversion caused by the media. Breastfeeding is one of the most natural and beautiful aspects of a newborn and the mother. I wish people didnt make it such a big deal though. Animals do it! ahah

  • Sarah C says:

I love that they have an option for a long sleeve shirt. Those are hard to find, and I don’t always feel like wearing layers.
