Happy Green Bee-Dress Your Kids in Comfy Organic Clothing

Submitted by Victoria Arya on July 2, 2009 – 6:56 amOne Comment

happygreenbee2It’s a well known fact that I happen to liking clothes a lot.  I may look like a bag most of the time, but my kids are usually dressed pretty well, and I am always on the look out for cool, trendy, and original looking clothing for the kiddos.  So, in getting ready for the Get Cool for School blog party I am putting together with some other ladies (Ellie is going to preschool!), I just had to include Happy Green Bee.  Why?  Because I happen to think they clothing is really neat and it is made out of organic cotton which is really cool too!

I received the Petal Dress in Chocolate/Bean (otherwise known as green and brown), and I have to say that it is a very unique looking dress.  I love it, it has a little bit of an eclectic/hippy flair, and it will be perfect for when preschool and the fall comes around.  The cotton is incredibly soft and comfortable and it has a lot of give to it; this means that while it does stretch a little bit, it doesn’t loose its’ shape which is really nice.  The colors are quite vibrant which I really like, but that fact also made me worry a bit…how would it do in washing?  Would it fade?

I threw the dress in the wash before I let Ellie put it on, and sat wondering if it wouldhappygreenbee shrink or loose color.  I treated it like anything else I own, which means it got cold water and high heat, and when I pulled it out the petal dress still looked great, although it might have shrunk a tiny bit, but that doesn’t really matter since it stretched out when Ellie tried it on.

Happy Green Bee offers a lot of other cute items, including their A-Line sundress which is perfect for summer and the Reversible Hoody which is perfect for the chilly fall days.  One thing that you NEED to check out at Happy Green Bee is their Factory Store…why?  Because you can find pieces for 75% off (or more)!!!  And there is always stuff available, but you need to snatch it up quick because it goes fast!
