Land of Nod-A Store to Fulfill You and Your Child’s Shopping Needs
So, I had never heard of a store called Land of Nod before I headed up to the Blogher ‘09 conference in Chicago. I wouldn’t have heard about it if I hadn’t have been invited to an event for pregnant bloggers at the Land of Nod store in up there (see sometimes it pays to be pregnant LOL). But, after the event at the store and having a chance to check out both the physical store and then later the online store, I have to admit that I really really like the Land of Nod and the products that they offer.
As many of you may know, I tend to not really like run of the mill or boring
stuff which is why I like stores that carry items that aren’t run of the mill and boring. So, after checking out Land of Nod it became one of my favorite stores for kids and kids products…especially since they had a ridiculous instore selection of strollers! But, moving on. Imagine my surprise when after getting back from Blogher ‘09 when I was contacted by Land of Nod to see if I would be interested in doing a review for them and writing about them…ummm yeah!
So, for the review I was sent two products, both of which are meant for Emmy when she gets a bit older. The first is the Skwinkle and the second of which is the Ziggles, both of which are cute and fun interactive toys for infants. Bright, colorful, with pieces that make it fun to chew on and throw around. These are both great products for infants who are just starting to pay with toys, but they aren’t boring run of the mill items that are found at other stores.
Now, the Land of Nod site, in addition to selling some pretty cool products (I’ll take the entire stroller section please) also has some good resources for parents who might be a bit stuck on how to decorate their kiddos room or playroom. Each theme is laid out so that when you click on the theme that appeals to you, you can find products to make your child’s room or playroom look like that.
So, overall…Land of Nod happens to be one of my favorite places to check out for gifts and items for the kids.
