Maggie Maternity-Stylish, Comfortable and Fun Maternity Clothing for the Pregnant Fashionista
I live in comfortable clothing. In fact, I take comfort over style any time and yeah I know all you fashionista mamas out there are scowling at me because I am the type of mom who gives other moms a bad name. It’s pretty sad…and couple that need for comfortable clothing with my lazy streak and it means I rarely find myself motivated enough to find comfortable AND stylish clothing. But, while I rarely find comfortable and stylish clothing by myself…I have recently had good luck in the fact that companies that make comfortable and stylish clothing want be to check out their stuff; they’re probably thinking that if they can make ME look decent, anyone will look good in their clothing. But enough, as I am sure many of you have managed to figure out I recently had the opportunity to work with a maternity clothing company called Maggie Maternity doing a review of what they call their Knot Top and their Bump Trousers.
Now, to be perfectly honest, at this point in my pregnancy my only real criteria for clothing is that it be comfortable and long enough to cover my tummy and to cover my bum since most of my maternity pants have a nasty habit of falling down when I move…it’s annoying. The Knot Top came in two color choices: white and red. Given the fact that I really don’t like red, I choose to go with the white color even though I have issues with it too; come on now, white can be sheer and it is sooooooo easy to get dirty, plus it makes me look white as a ghost. But, even though I was a bit annoyed at having to go outside of my comfort level in regards to color, I still liked the look of the product on the web and I had hope. The Trousers looked online like rather boring, regular pants that would be slightly tailored in order to provide a more professional appearance.
So, when the clothing arrived I have to admit to being surprises…pleasantly surprised. The white shirt which I was afraid would be sheer turned out to not be sheer but to also have a long length. It was a flattering style and after trying it on I realized that I actually looked good while still staying comfortable. Honestly it also helped that it has a nice neckline that makes the most out of my expanded chest
The trousers were again a bit of a surprise. Wher ei had thought them to be a stiffer fabric, more tailored and a bunch more uncomfortable, the trousers were made of a lighter, flimsier material, the tailoring was loose and very comfortable. When I put the outfit on together it was deliciously comfortable and a lot like wearing my favorite PJs around the house.
The shirt is long and floaty, kind of build on Greek styles, but it makes me look pregnant and pretty rather than pregnant and dumpy. The pants were quite comfortable, but I have to admit that since they were a bit lightweight and would cling to leg hair, panty lines, tights or hose; I ended up wearing a maternity shaper underneath…have I mentioned how useful those are? But the pants are quite comfortable and look good on my
They are a bit long but that is what happens when you top off at 5′3″ on a good day.
So, overall what do I think? I really like both of the items that I received from Maggie Maternity. The Knot shirt is very comfortable and flattering and the Bump trousers are comfortable and you can wear them for your entire pregnancy. One thing that I did notice was that when I worse the trousers and the shirt together (black and white) I looked like a waiter
Once thing that I like is the fact that I can see myself wearing both items after I am pregnant and I know that they are going to look good on me.

Have you tried Noppies? They are super comfortable and the #1 maternity pant in Europe. At first I balked at the $98 price tag, but then you wear them like twice to three times per week from the beginning to the end. Even after the baby is born and you are working on getting back into regular clothing…
