ShooShoos-The Cute, Comfortable and Stylish Soft Soled Baby Shoe

Submitted by Victoria Arya on July 1, 2009 – 7:20 am21 Comments

Alright, it is official, I have a walker.  I have been denying that fact for a bit since it means that since Eve can walk she can get into more trouble, but Eve has been walking since before her first birthday.  I happen to be a big fan of letting infants and crawlers just have bare feet or feet with socks, but now that Eve is a walker it was pretty imeritive that I find her some shoes that she liked, she kept on, and that protected her feet from the ground and other nasty stuff she might find herself toddling on.

I tried the hard sole baby shoes but Eve just sat on her butt and tried to get them off…when she couldn’t get them offshooshoo she threw a baby fit (which was kind of cute).  So I decided that it might be better to move on to a different kind of shoe so I started looking for soft sole baby shoes and I found ShooShoos.  Things got even better when I was given the chance to review a pair of baby shoes in any pattern I wanted (I choose the Lilac T-Bar).  When I received the shoes in the mail I could immediately tell that they were well made and they were pretty darned cute.  The biggest challenge came when I decided to see if Eve herself liked them…she had so far rejected every pair of shoes that I tried to put on her.

The shoes themselves are very easy to put on and they don’t require any cramming and it doesn’t matter if the kiddo curls their toes like mine does.  I slipped them on Eve and after she glared at them for a few seconds she got up and toddled away from me…and she left the shoes on until I took them off her at nap time.  She has been wearing one of her pairs of Shooshoos (yeah I got another pair after seeing how she reacted to the review pair) everyday for the past month or more and they are holding up really well; the soles are a bit scuffed but the leather is in good condition and the top part still looks really good too.

So overall what do I think?  I really like ShooShoos and so does Eve, I think they are great baby shoes for crawlers or beginning walkers.  and ShooShoos also makes a flexible sole toddler shoe line called Smiley Light; I Eve wants the Navy Smiley with Flowers.

We were a big fan of Robeez when my son was little, but these look similar, and not quite as expensive! I think I’ll have to try them out when my daughter gets mobile. Thanks for the review.

I think these look fabulous. I love the functionality of Robeez, but I generally find them to be ugly as sin. I am thrilled to find some of that style WITH some style!

I love that these are so cute, well made & similar yet less expensive than Robeez. My boys both had Robeez (didn’t know about these then) but I have these on my wishlist for Baby #3 (hoping it’s a girl!!!)

The soft soled shoes are actually better than hard soles for little Eve’s foot development! Shoo shoos are practical as well as adorable.

  • Zsera says:

They have so many cute styles! I could spend $500 on their site. Lol

Being an older woman, I used all the standard hard soled shoes for my babies 30 years ago. THat’s all they sold us back then. I felt they were sturdy, and would protect ankles etc. My grandsons have these soft soled types and I can see where they are a better shoe for little ones. THey can still use toes to gripe while walking; non skid soles keep them from slipping and even while they are crawlers, they are shoes that stay on and aren’t too clunky and in the way. Great idea to whoever invented them!

  • Amanda says:

These shoes are so adorable. My little sistah loves her shoo shoos and it is so cute to hear her say “shoo shoos” :)

  • Kathryn says:

These are so cute. :) Way better than the hard-soled shoes my parents put on me when I was a kid!

  • Jennifer G. says:

I have only heard of wonderful things about Shoo Shoos. I heard that the quality is excellent and they have great support for little one’s feet. My sister has a pair for her baby but he isn’t walking yet so she hasnn’t tried them on him. I would love a pair for my little one!

  • shoo shoos are really great! id love to have a pair to try on my daughter. they look so easy while learning to walk, and super cute

This is for the great contest. My daughter is actually at the age where she needs a soft shoes but protection for walking , crawling. She really likes to stand and balance right now , she hates hard shoes so we have had to put aside other runners. These are great little shoes , great giveaway . thanks . lil_lolas@hotmail.com

These shoes look amazing!! I hate how my daughter’s shoes aren’t flexible and while she condescends to wear them sometimes, I wish I had softer ones for her!
