The Perfect Personalized Jewelry Gift

Submitted by Victoria Arya on April 30, 2009 – 7:09 pm454 Comments

birth-designsI love jewelry.  I love my kids.  Not necessarily in that order.  So, combining the two would give me something that I love love right?  Right!  And with this thinking I went in search of some totally cool and customized jewelry.  Did I find it?  Of course I did, and I have to say I found som pretty cool stuff from a really neat boutique.  So what is this boutique?  Birth Designs.

While I was browsing the Birth Designsgallery I was drawn to the peas in the pod necklace…there are so many cool designs, but that particular necklace called to me.  So when I contacted Bonnie to see if she would be interested in a review, she not only said yes, she asked if I would like to have a personalized Peas in the Pod necklace with two peas engraved with each of the girls names…ummm YES!  So, when I reviewed the necklace it looked exactly like I imaged it…totally cool looking, hip and it goes with everything since it is in silver (have I mentioned I love white metals???  yellow metals look bad on me).  The chain itself is a medium length so the pea pod pendant hits me about 2 inches below the collar bone, and it is a delicate style which I really like…I can’t stand heavy chains…they weigh me down.  The pendant itself is very well done and sturdy…and the engraved names are very easy to see.  Unlike some other types of personalized jewelry, you don’t need to guess what the pendant is suppose to be, it’s obvious LOL.  One thing I did notice was the fact that the pendant sat at a slant when it was on…one side rode a tiny bit higher than the other.  It wasn’t something that bothered me, I just found myself adjusting it from time to time.

So, what is my overall impress of the Birth Designs piece that I received?  This piece is chic, well crafted, and shows not only an obvious talent for metal working but also a passion for making pieces that look good and that are timeless.  Birth Designs also has a ton of other cool designs to choose from, my favorites are: the Branches of My Family Necklace, the Mother’s Circle, and the You Are The Stars Necklace.

so um maybe you can help me get Birth Designs to respond to my emails asking if they are going to actually make the necklace i ordered a month ago. I have emailed them 4 times and called once and have not gotten any response. I really like the necklace I am ordering and REALLY want it but when I can not get responses from them I feel disappointed. I just want a response. I have even told them that I know that my necklace will take time to make and am willing to wait that time. But I am seriously doubting their reputation as a proficient company if they can not send a simple response to emails sent to them. OK so maybe you can get Bonnie or someone to just tell me if my order was received and if there is hope of getting my necklace in the next month or so??
